The Birth of the Ford E350 Van
The E350 Centurion was a brainchild of former truck up-fitter, Centurion Vehicles. They were known for playing a part in the production of other oddities such as the supersized Bronco, C150. Centurion collaborated with Ford Motor Company, the manufacturers of the truck version of the Ford E350 and various other truck-van conversions. In fact, Centurion Vehicles was well known for its expertise in converting Ford Trucks and vans between the 1980s and 1990s. The Centurion E350 continues to pique interest and are now highly prized collectables.
Usage
The Ford E350 van was designed in response to demands by consumers for a more diverse vehicle. The vehicle was designed with the goal of being a transport solution for large families, teams and even businesses which required more space and a more robust transportation solution than what Ford trucks offered. The truck offered power and performance while the van provided more room and comfort. The E350 features an extended frame, truck box addition to the rear end, dual rear wheels and dual fuel tanks. The E350 Centurion is in many ways unlike any other van or truck. The vehicle boasted of an extended frame which allowed more room for seating as well as cargo.
